RETAIL REPORTS

While retailers' sales communications are getting earlier each year, for consumers the early bird doesn't catch the worm - discounts got deeper as the week progressed.

While 20%-30% off continued as the most favorable discounting amount, the 10-20% off bracket grew year-on-year and had just as many sellouts - suggesting that prices don't need to be slashed too dramatically to entice consumers.

Across super/fast fashion retailers, 'up to 50% off' was a popular denomination, however, both boohoo and Missguided both upped their offers to up to 70% off on the 25th November.
